    Privacy Policy

    Last updated: 17 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what WPMytics collects when you use wpmytics.com, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information.

“WPMytics,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to MeritWP LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company that operates wpmytics.com. Our registered office is:

    MeritWP LLC
    30 N Gould St Ste R
    Sheridan, WY 82801
    United States

“You” and “your” refer to the visitor or user of the website. By using wpmytics.com, you agree to the practices described in this policy. MeritWP LLC is the data controller for personal information collected through the website.

    1. Information we collect

    Information you provide directly

    • Contact messages. If you email us or use a contact form, we receive the email address you send from and the content of your message.
    • Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name.
    • Tips and corrections. If you submit a story tip or a correction request, we receive whatever information you choose to include.

    Information collected automatically

    • Server log data. Our web server logs your IP address, browser type, device type, referring URL, pages visited, and the date and time of each request. These logs help us diagnose problems and detect abuse.
    • Cookies and similar technologies. We and our service providers set cookies and read locally stored identifiers. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
    • Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 (via Google’s Site Kit plugin) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. This includes page views, sessions, approximate location (country and city level), device category, and referral sources.
    • Advertising data. If you consent to personalized ads, our advertising partners (primarily Google AdSense) may collect identifiers, interest signals, and interaction data to serve relevant ads.

    2. Legal bases we rely on

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar rules, we process your personal information on one or more of the following legal bases:

    • Consent, where you have given it for a specific purpose (for example, subscribing to the newsletter or accepting advertising cookies).
    • Legitimate interest, where the processing is necessary for our operations and does not override your rights (for example, keeping server logs for security).
    • Contractual necessity, where we need to process information to deliver something you asked for.
    • Legal obligation, where the law requires us to retain or disclose information.

    3. How we use your information

    • To deliver the website, its pages, and requested features
    • To respond to messages, tips, corrections, and partnership inquiries
    • To send our newsletter, when you have subscribed
    • To measure site performance and understand what content is useful
    • To serve advertising, including personalized advertising where you have consented
    • To detect, prevent, and investigate security issues, fraud, and abuse
    • To comply with legal obligations

    4. Third parties we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site, and with parties we are legally required to notify. Key categories include:

    • Hosting and security providers, which receive your IP address and request data to serve the site and protect it.
    • Analytics providers, primarily Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console), which receive aggregated and pseudonymized usage data.
    • Advertising partners, primarily Google AdSense and, over time, other ad networks we may add. These partners may set their own cookies and process data under their own privacy policies, subject to your consent where required.
    • Email delivery providers, used to send newsletters and transactional messages.
    • Affiliate networks, which track outbound clicks on affiliate links you choose to follow. No personal information is shared with affiliate partners by us directly; the tracking is tied to the click you initiate.
    • Legal and regulatory authorities, when disclosure is required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.

    5. International data transfers

Our servers and several of our service providers are located outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, adequacy decisions published by the European Commission.

    6. How long we keep your information

    • Server logs: up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting purposes.
    • Contact and tip messages: retained while the matter is open and for up to 24 months afterwards for reference.
    • Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe, plus a short suppression list to make sure we do not email you again in error.
    • Analytics data: retained for the period configured in Google Analytics 4 (currently 14 months at the time of writing).
    • Advertising data: retained per our ad partners’ policies. See Google’s privacy policy for the details that apply to AdSense.

    7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have one or more of the following rights in relation to your personal information:

    • Access: ask us what information we hold about you.
    • Correction: ask us to correct information that is wrong or out of date.
    • Deletion: ask us to delete information, subject to legal retention obligations.
    • Restriction: ask us to stop processing information while a dispute is resolved.
    • Portability: ask for a copy of information you provided in a structured, machine-readable format.
    • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest.
    • Withdraw consent: where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time.
    • Opt out of sale or sharing: if you are in California or another state with similar law, opt out of any sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising.
    • Complain: lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. This is our dedicated channel for data subject requests under the GDPR (Articles 15-22) and the CCPA/CPRA. We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and respond substantively within 30 days, or sooner where the law requires it. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on the request.

    8. Cookies and tracking

The specific cookies and similar technologies we use are listed in our Cookie Policy. You can manage advertising cookies through the consent banner that appears on your first visit, and you can clear or block cookies at the browser level at any time.

    9. Children’s privacy

WPMytics is written for professional adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.

    10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including TLS encryption in transit, application-level firewalling, restricted administrative access, and regular backups. No online service can promise absolute security, and we encourage you to use strong, unique passwords for any account you create online.

    11. Links to other sites

WPMytics links to third-party websites, including products we cover and affiliate partners. Those sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit from our links.

    12. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change or when new legal requirements apply. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the latest version. Significant changes will be announced in the website footer or through the newsletter for at least 30 days before they take effect.

    13. How to contact us about privacy

For general privacy questions about this policy, email [email protected]. For data subject rights requests (access, deletion, portability, opt-out), use our dedicated privacy channel: [email protected]. For postal correspondence, write to:
